Barn Door Four (BD4) is a fun, educational, interactive Mobile Application designed specifically for Children, ages 2-7, with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental/intellectual disabilities or learning challenges. This innovative, user-friendly program teaches a broad continuum of skills consisting of 29 different learning exercises. BD4 was designed, tested and reviewed by Applied Behavior Analysts with extensive experience working with children in center and home-based environments for over 20 years. It has been field tested by parents, special education expert, teachers and therapists.
The App revolves around Mac, the Farmer’s son, as he ventures out onto the farm to learn various skills with his barnyard friends. Barn Door Four incorporates a variety of Exercises, Data Systems and Analysis for teaching Imitation Skills, Fine Motor Skills, Visual Performance, Receptive Language, Intraverbals (a verbal response to the words of others), Play and Leisure Skills and Functional Routines. It consists of a robust learning curriculum, letting children progress at their own speed with different levels of beginner, intermediate and advanced exercises. The lesson plans that were developed by an ABA expert have a pre-programmed scope and sequence, but each plan may also be customized, allowing a virtually unlimited array of skill levels to be accommodated.
